Arrangements have been perfected for this year’s edition of the annual GLOWFUX (Giving Love with Fun 4 Xmas) Charity Concert which will hold in Lekki part of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria.
The show, which is designed to show love to folks from less privileged homes and homes of people with special abilities, will specifically hold at the Beachfront, Elegushi Private Beach, Lekki, Lagos, on the 28th of December, 2021.
This year’s event is a step higher from the previous editions.
In a statement by the initiator of GLOWFUX Concert, Olubode Mac. Oserinde, he said that the event was moved to Lekki, having impacted on the less privileged in lkorodu division in the last five years.
“Having successfully impacted lives through this event in the Ikorodu division for five years with all orphanages in the division as beneficiaries, the organizers’ vision of hosting the programme as a state-wide one got more driven with determination; hence,they are moving the event from the bubbling city of Ikorodu to the beautiful city of Lekki”, he said.
“As always, we aim to give the needy a unique feel of luxury and Christmas celebration with varieties of fun ranging from games, Christmas give -aways, performances by entertainment practitioners and lots more.
“Despite the negative impact of the Coronavirus pandemic last year, we never relented in sharing love, joy and hope with our folks from the needy homes during the 2020 Xmas season. This year again, we are coming better and bigger as we have prepared loads of fun and entertainment ready to be served with no iota of discrimination.”
He said that a lot of fun and interesting activities which the concert is known for will also be part of this year’s edition.
“In our usual way, the programme shall feature various activities ranging from Group rendition of the specially recorded ‘GLOWFUX 2021 Carol’ by entertainment practitioners drafted from different fields of the entertainment industry; performances by invited music, dance, and comedy acts; induction of new GLOWFUX Young Ambassadors who are smart kids from age 5 to 17 with good parental care, quality circle of friends/schoolmates, family friends, neighbours, etc, drafted to serve as ambassadors for GLOWFUX to propagate the vision and mission of the project within their immediate environment (home, church, mosque, school, etc).
“Other features are GLOWFUX Hall of Charity award presentation where some individuals and organizations are celebrated for their track records in humanitarian and philanthropic feats as Glowfux Man of the year, GLOWFUX Woman of the year, and GLOWFUX NGO of the year; gifts from Santa Claus to all children in attendance; Feasting with love (well prepared party food and drinks for all); and Presentation of Christmas hampers and all other relief materials to the needy present”, said Oserinde.
Notably amongst creative practitioners billed to be part of this year’s GLOWFUX Concert are popular gospel musician, Adeyinka Alaseyori (Oniduro Mi), Da’ Fresh Olorin, Meyrah, Haday, Ologo Ara, Murphy Emryce, popular comedian, Princephelar, fast-rising kid comedienne Small Mummy, popular movie actor/producer Kemi Stone, the maverick dance machine Hilary Jackson and his group, the amazingly skilled turntable maestro DJ MAP, the sonorous voice petite Queen of radio, Enitan Jewel and a host of others.
At this year’s concert which is supported by His Royal Majesty, Oba Alayeluwa Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Kusenla III, the Elegushi of Ikate-Elegushi Kingdom and others, organizers also announced that Dr Christopher Abiodun Onus will be conferred with this year’s edition of the GLOWFUX Hall of Charity award/GLOWFUX Man of the Year 2021 while Morola Olabisi Babalola will be honoured with the GLOWFUX Woman of the Year 2021.
Also, Jakin Initiative would receive award as GLOWFUX NGO of the Year 2021.
